My vibrant Music Homeschool happens every Monday - at my house. Every week, I invite children into the magic of music through movement, dance and play.
I have a Waldorf-inspired approach which is is holistic and developmental - moving from ‘feeling’ in the early years to ‘understanding’ later on. Here music is more than a subject to be learned, it’s an experience for the head, heart, and hands.
We learn by dancing, moving and being the music - allowing children to have embodied experience of music and of themselves as musical bodies.
Through a gentle, rhythmic flow, our sessions invite children to:
Stories & Songs: We bring narratives to life using our voices and musical accompaniment, fostering a deep love for storytelling.
Dance & Move: We enjoy folk dances and eurythmy-inspired movement to find joy and confidence in our bodies.
Recorder Foundations: A gentle introduction to the recorder helps little ones master finger positioning, breath control, and the thrill of playing their first real tunes.
Listen & Create: Immerse themselves in storytelling that brings musical concepts to life, using percussion and collaborative games to mirror the natural rhythms of the world.
